Explain the proposed approach to the problem and the results.

The goal of your final research paper is not to inform the reader (me) what others have said about a topic, not a summary of the course, but to create the opportunity for you to draw on what others have to say about a topic important to the study of cognitive development (such as “the role of media in childhood education,” or whether “the role of writing in critical thinking,” for example) and to engage those sources in order to thoughtfully offer a unique perspective (your perspective) on that issue. For your final paper, please submit a 6-8 page paper. For the Body of the main paper, you should include (but are not limited to); An introduction where you share the background of your work and a well-crafted thesis statement. Explain the research problem or issue you are addressing in your paper. Explain the proposed approach to the problem and the results. This may include an overview of the major theorists who have addressed this issue before you and what their findings are. Be sure to use proper in-text APA citing notations when citing a source. Offer your own perspective on the issue. You may wish to compare or refute the ideas or methods of others. Be sure to present your arguments so that they are clear and well-supported with evidence from the course or your outside research. In other words, take the time to explain what your rationale. And finally, offer conclusions about where possible future work in this area of study may lead. For example, what impact could furthering research in this area lead? There are not set answers to this. Just think through the important of your topic to the overall understanding of human development and offer what insights you can. Liberally cite resources from course in a way that shows you have integrated them into your thinking and your responses to situations. Do not use an AI helper (such as ChatGPT. If you do, it is likely to be very obvious because what is required here is YOUR integration of the materials from this course with YOUR life. And lastly, you must include a detailed, annotated Works Cited page. This page can include entries from your research log but MUST include a minimum of FOUR outside sources. Be sure to use APA style and include a 1-2 sentence summary of the source’s main topic.
