Research paper This assignment asks you to start from the position of your own interest in a topic. This can be related to your area of practice or study and should be informed by the available evidence base. As you progress through this module you will learn how to direct your interest into searching for and obtaining relevant studies on the topic, whose findings you can evaluate for the purpose of using and citing that evidence in academic reports and essays of your own. You are expected to conduct a literature search and, from the range of papers you gather, select two to critique. We advise that you select one that uses a quantitative design and the other a qualitative design in order to maximise opportunities to demonstrate your learning.
