The script should be around 3 minutes 30 seconds to 4 minutes 30 seconds long and respond to the story. What to Include in the Script: How I Listened: Explain how I engaged with the story using the concepts of “Storylistening” and “Pedagogy of Listening” from my course readings. New Understandings: Describe how the story challenged or expanded my understanding. Mention any new insights or perspectives gained, including any stereotypes or biases that were challenged. Impactful Moments: Highlight the parts of the story that were most impactful and why. Include how these moments made me feel and if they connect to any personal experiences. Importance for Teaching: Reflect on why story-listening is important for inclusive teaching in early childhood education, how it helps challenge biases, build positive relationships, and support children’s rights. Applying This in My Teaching: Discuss how I might use story-listening in my future teaching practice to enhance inclusivity.
